small victories!

After an inordinate amount of time spent figuring out how to thread Proud Mary, I am happy to report that I had a pleasant spinning interlude. I can see why spinners are so passionate about it – it is quite mesmerizing and the wheel makes a shushing sound as it rotates. Very hypnotic – perhaps I have joined a cult and I don’t know it yet.

I had some moments of high tension (literally) when the yarn broke and a bit of confusion figuring out the right amount of tension on the break band. I think it all worked out and I decided to stop on a good note. I got through various problems, was spinning quite merrily and thought to stop right then rather than in a fit of frustration.

Another steamer of a day – more thunderstorms in the forecast. I do love the drama!

Hope you are all having a good Thursday.

btw. Thursday is my favorite day of the week — couldn’t tell you why that is, it just is. I even love the way the word looks! do you have a preference?

  1. Wow! Looks great. It is a lovely looking wheel. Congrats on figuring somethings out and knowing when to walk away.

No real day preference. I did always like in college how Thursday was abbreviated with an “r”. Interesting.
